What is the levels of water resistance?

Water resistance refers to the ability of a material or object to resist the penetration or penetration of water to a certain extent. A waterproof material or product resists the ingress of water to a certain extent, while a waterproof material or product is completely impervious to any degree of water pressure or immersion. Waterproof materials are commonly used in rain gear, outdoor equipment, electronic equipment and other applications where water exposure is possible but infrequent.

Water resistance is usually measured in meters, atmospheric pressure (ATM), or feet.

1. Water resistance (30 meters/3 ATM/100 feet): This level of water resistance means that the product can withstand splashes or brief immersion in water. Suitable for daily activities such as washing hands, showering, and sweating.

2. Water Resistance 50 Meters/5 ATM/165 Feet: This level of resistance can handle water exposure when swimming in shallow water.

3. Waterproof 100m/10 ATM/330ft: This waterproof level is for products that can handle swimming and snorkeling.

4. Water resistant to 200 meters/20 ATM/660 feet: This level of resistance is suitable for products that can handle extreme water depths, such as professional divers. Please note that water resistance is not permanent and will decrease over time, especially if the product is exposed to extremes of temperature, pressure or chemicals. It is important to check the manufacturer’s recommendations for proper care and maintenance of waterproofing products.
